Normalizes the musculoskeletal system through strength building, muscle relaxation, and balance training. A root-cause treatment that frees you from pain through consistent practice.

What Is Exercise Therapy?

Musculoskeletal exercise therapy

An exercise therapy focused on muscle contraction, relaxation, and balance that addresses the root cause of musculoskeletal pain.

01

Strength Building

Strengthen

Restores the size and strength of weakened muscles.

02

Muscle Relaxation

Release

Loosens shortened muscles to restore their natural length.

03

Balance Training

Balance

Corrects the order and timing of muscle contraction for stability.

§ 02Mechanism · Musculoskeletal Pain

How Pain Develops and Is Treated

01

Bones, muscles, and ligaments that were once normal in childhood can shorten over time from too little or too much use — a process called muscle shortening.

02

As muscles shorten, bones and ligaments compensate by changing shape — leading to bone spurs (osteophytes) and limited joint range of motion.

03

As shortening and skeletal changes worsen, they can compress nerves or narrow spaces, making symptoms worse — which is why restoring muscle length is key.

04

Relaxing exercises such as yoga or Sunmudo help loosen muscles throughout the body, supporting root-cause treatment.

05

Balance is controlled by the cerebellum — when the timing and order of muscle contraction is off, it can lead to falls or muscle cramps.

§ 03Muscle Shortening

In Cases of Muscle Shortening

For muscle shortening — we provide muscle relaxation exercises and balance training.

  • 01Muscle shortening occurs when a muscle becomes shorter due to too little or too much use
  • 02This can trigger compensatory changes in bones and ligaments, leading to bone spurs or limited joint range of motion
  • 03If it worsens, nerve compression or narrowed space from bone spurs can make symptoms worse
  • 04We use full-body relaxation exercises such as yoga
  • 05Followed by balance training to help prevent falls and muscle cramps
§ 04Case · Muscle Atrophy

In Cases of Muscle Atrophy

§ 04Muscle Atrophy

In Cases of Muscle Atrophy

For muscle atrophy — we first build strength, then move on to relaxation exercises and balance training.

  • 01Muscle atrophy is a state where muscle mass and strength have decreased
  • 02With too little muscle left to relax, we start with strength rehabilitation exercises
  • 03For example, the erector spinae muscles must be built up before a stooped back can be straightened
  • 04Once muscle mass has increased sufficiently, relaxation exercises are added
  • 05Followed by balance training to help prevent falls and muscle cramps
  • 06We also provide guidance on diet, breathing techniques, and sleep
