Sleep & Pain

Sleep and Pain
Sleep & Pain.

The cause of much chronic pain lies hidden in sleep. Checking your sleep first can reveal the key to your pain.

§ 01The Connection

How Sleep Is Linked to Chronic Pain

When you don't get enough sleep, damaged cells and organs struggle to repair themselves, and chronic pain can develop.

The body follows a cycle from eating to cell repair. When repair is needed but sleep isn't sufficient, symptoms in various organs persist — and the most common signs are "fatigue" and "pain." Patients with pain accompanied by chronic fatigue should address their sleep first.
